Employer Supported Volunteering is a project of Volunteer Centre Greenwich. The aim of the project is to provide "team challenges"
for groups of people to encourage team building etc. The project has its own logo designed by '58 ALL but as a project of the
Volunteers Centre Greenwich, the new web site had to include their branding.
The web site is written using static HTML pages with the exception of the "Challenge Table". This is created dynamically using
Perl CGI and an XML database. The ESV support team have a password protected web site which allows them to maintain the Challenge
table. Once a challenge has been completed they can then add customer comments and a photo.
The site has been designed for ease of navigation and is aimed primarily at employers who are looking for creative ways of team
building.
As a community web site it also needed to conforms to the Disability Discrimination Act 2004 - features built in to allow people
with various eye conditions to change the look of the web site to best suite their eye sight.
