Greenwich Council - On-line Business Directory
This was a re-engineering of a partially developed web site.  Greenwich Council had a developed an on-line Business Directory using IIS and ASP but their web server is Unix so couldn't go live. The data and look-n-feel was reconstructed to use XML data files (created by a Perl parser extracting data from an Access 2000 database), and Perl CGI to allow searching.

The new web site had the ability to :

  • Browse by business category
  • A to Z of business names
  • Search
  • Add business details using a simple web form
