SRC Greenwich
Who they are
"SRC Greenwich exists to promote, develop and encourage high quality Primary, Health and
Social Care Services by the not-for-profit sector, to create a greater choice of services
for the peoples of Greenwich."
What they had
SRC had already had their rare Paradox 4 database (with some data "missing") converted to
HTML. This database was then being copied on a regular basis
onto several laptop PCs and taken by volunteers around the
borough to key places so that they could offer advice to the public.
What they wanted
Firstly, they wanted to move on to a web based data maintenance application ie browser driven.
They also wanted their SIGN web site revamped to include a search facility. They
also wanted to have an "accessibility" feature so that the colour scheme for the whole web site
could be changed to best suite your eye sight.
What we did
We took their existing SIGN HTML web pages, and converted it to XML. We also created
a comprehensive bespoke application to allow them to maintain this information upon their
intranet.
We then designed and wrote their web site with a full search facility and categorising of
organisations and with the requested "accessibility" feature. &nbps; This web site also
runs on their laptop PCs for the volunteers to take around the borough.
A simpler A to Z version is also available to run on Windows CE PDA.
